We have a house

It took far longer than it should have, but we got it. We now have a house.

It's not the short sale (did I mention that already?). It's out in the country, it's a foreclousre so we got a good price, and it's on one shy acre.

Relief, we're finally there.

The previous people were twits. They would put a nail in the wall to hang a picture, but they never removed any nails from the wall. Ever. We've removed dozens so fare.

They planted trees right up to the fence, so the roots knocked over the fence.

But it's ours.

We now have satellite TV as part of our phone package instead of cable so we're saving money there. It's good because we now have to pay for gas and water. Which reminds me, I have a toilet to fix, a faucet to fix, and a garbage disposal to replace.

Little A has discovered the joys of eating catfood. Argh. I need to find a way to sequester it.

I've already fixed one outlet, and tore down the cabling from the last two satellite dishes. I need a ladder so i can finish tearing down the old dishes.

We're mostly unpacked now.

Oh, by the way, moving is EXPENSIVE. The U-haul was pricy, and we had to buy a washer and dryer since being in a house instead of an apartment we are short a washer and dryer.

This move has left us basically tapped for cash for a while - just in time for Christmas. Haha.

But we're there.
